Cuyahoga County Board of Elections seeks poll workers for May 5 primary

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections announced on Apr. 8 that it is hiring poll workers for the upcoming May 5, 2026 Primary Election.

The recruitment effort aims to ensure that there are enough staff to assist voters and maintain secure and transparent elections. Poll workers will earn $220 for their service on Election Day.

Applicants do not need prior experience, as training will be provided by the Board of Elections. Interested individuals can apply online or call 216-443-3277 for more information.

According to the announcement, those who work at polling locations play an important role in supporting democracy by helping maintain political balance and ensuring fair election processes.

The initiative underscores the ongoing need for community participation in running elections and highlights how local residents can contribute directly to upholding democratic practices.
