Rep. Shontel Brown, a current U.S. Congress member representing Ohio’s 11th district, shared several remarks through social media, addressing topics that range from policy decisions to community engagements and historical commemoration.

On April 23, 2025, Rep. Brown expressed her office’s disappointment regarding a decision made by the Trump Administration. She stated, “Today my office learned that the Trump Administration is terminating a federal grant for @forclevepeace which had supported services for gun violence survivors. This is a disgraceful betrayal – of the law, of decency, and of the people of Cleveland.”

The following day, on April 24, 2025, Rep. Brown encouraged budding entrepreneurs to partake in an upcoming event. She tweeted, “Interested in starting your own business? Register for our Small Business Expo on Saturday May 3 to network with business leaders, learn about resources, and receive information on branding, contracting, financing and more.” This expo provides a platform for individuals to connect with business leaders and access valuable resources necessary for business success.

Later on April 24, 2025, Rep. Brown reflected on Yom HaShoah, a day dedicated to Holocaust remembrance. She reminded the public of the tragedy suffered by the Jewish community, stating, “As Yom HaShoah comes to a close, we remember the six million Jews who were murdered during the Holocaust—lives stolen by hatred, antisemitism, and silence. Never forget. Never again.”

Rep. Shontel Brown, having served in Congress since 2021 after a prior tenure on the Cuyahoga County Council, continues to engage with her constituents on key issues through her active online presence. Brown, originally from Cleveland, also highlights events and opportunities beneficial to her district’s community members.
