Her tweets cover a range of topics from local issues in Cleveland to broader national policies impacting the economy and health care.

On May 2, 2025, Rep. Brown criticized the Trump Administration’s plan to sell the Celebrezze building in Cleveland. She described it as “an insult to Cleveland,” arguing that it would lead to “disrupted federal services, local job loss, and disinvestment in downtown.” Brown expressed her intent to oppose this plan and urged the General Services Administration to consider upgrading the building instead. Also on May 2, Rep. Brown expressed her disapproval of the defunding of federal violence prevention grants by the Trump Administration, particularly in Cleveland. She declared her pride in leading a letter with Representatives Robin Kelly, Maxwell Frost, and Lucy McBath, advocating for the reinstatement of these important grants. Her statement was made public later in the day.

Later the same afternoon, Rep. Brown questioned the priorities she attributed to “MAGA values,” regarding the negotiation between providing tax cuts for the wealthy and funding health care. She indicated that the view of this issue as a “dilemma” highlighted a concerning value system. Her comments can be reviewed here.
