Independence home prices fall in August 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in August 2019 in Independence fell by $12,050 while total sales decreased by 69.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In August 2019, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $256,950 - a 4.5% decrease over the $269,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 13 homes sold in Independence in August 2018.

The median sales tax in Independence for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,557, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for August 2019.
