Independence home prices rise in January 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2018 in Independence rose by $42,950 while total sales decreased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2018, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $215,900 - a 24.8% increase over the $172,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were eight homes sold in Independence in January 2017.

The median sales tax in Independence for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,557, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for January 2018.
