Median home prices in Independence fell to $277,500 in the first quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2021 in Independence fell by $49,250 while total sales increased by 66.7%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2021, there were 20 homes sold, with a median sale price of $277,500 - a 15.1% decrease over the $326,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Independence in the first quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Independence for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $4,487, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2021.
