Independence home prices rose in the second quarter of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2021 in Independence rose by $67,000 while total sales decreased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2021, there were 15 homes sold, with a median sale price of $250,000 - a 36.6% increase over the $183,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 20 homes sold in Independence in the second quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Independence for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $4,487, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2021.
