Brooklyn median home prices rose by 9.4% in the first half of 2021

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Brooklyn rose by $11,400 while total sales increased by 26.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 71 homes sold, with a median sale price of $132,900 - a 9.4% increase over the $121,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 56 homes sold in Brooklyn in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Brooklyn for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,031, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
