Heartbeats Jump Rope Team Community Show
APRIL 30, 2022 | 7:00 PM
The Heartbeats Jump Rope Team will perform a community show from 7-8 p.m. April 30, 2022 at Strongsville High School, 20025 Lunn Road. Members of the Strongsville Jump Rope Club will also participate in the show.
The event is open to the public and, while there is no charge for admission, donations are always welcome. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. All funds raised from the show help support the team’s efforts.
Often referred to as gymnastics and dance done with a jump rope, the routines include flips, tricks, spins, vaults and more -- all while jumping a rope.
The Heartbeats promote the sport of jump rope as fun, healthy, challenging, competitive and entertaining for people of all ages. A life-long sport, jump rope helps build athletic skills and a positive self-image.
Founded in 1992, the Heartbeats have three decades of history---competing nationally and internationally, captivating audiences, as well as serving the community. Team members have participated in five Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parades -- most recently in 2021 -- and have won a multitude of ribbons and medals over the years (individually and as a team) at USA Jump Rope National Championships, AAU Junior Olympic Games and World Championships. The team includes youth, from 9 years old through college-age, who live in communities throughout the Cleveland/Akron area.
