Trash update: Republic Waste is working today, picking up Monday routes, and also -- possibly -- doing some of Tuesday routes to try to catch up.
Our advice to residents is to put your trash out on your regular day this week to be safe, but don't be surprised if it isn't collected until the next day.
For anyone who misses their collection this week -- and for residents who were skipped on Friday -- the Transfer Station behind City Hall, 16099 Foltz Parkway, is open regular hours this week. You can bring your trash there if you don't want to wait for pick-up.
We're very sorry about the confusion, but we've been unable to get a definitive answer from Republic.
