Later that day on November 22, Rep. Brown reflected on a somber anniversary marking ten years since Tamir Rice's death at the hands of a police officer in Cleveland. She offered condolences to his family by stating, "Ten years ago today, Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old boy with his whole life ahead of him was killed by a police officer in Cleveland. I am keeping Tamir’s mother Ms. Samaria Rice and family in my prayers today."
