Rep. Shontel Brown, who has been serving Ohio's 11th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently shared several updates through her social media account. Her posts reflect on various subjects including staying informed about Washington activities, participating in a civil rights event, and expressing concerns over policy reversals.

On January 21, 2025, Rep. Brown emphasized the importance of staying informed about legislative activities in Washington by encouraging constituents to subscribe to her e-newsletter for updates on key votes and services. "It's more important than ever to stay up to date on what's happening in Washington."

Later that day, she expressed honor at speaking during an event commemorating Martin Luther King Jr., hosted by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) at The Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church in Cleveland. She underscored the need to continue Dr. King's work advocating for civil rights and justice. "At this critical moment, it is imperative that we carry on Dr. King’s work and continue fighting for civil rights, fairness, and justice."

In another post from January 21st, Rep. Brown criticized former President Donald Trump's decision to reverse actions taken by President Biden aimed at reducing prescription drug costs for Medicaid and Medicare recipients. She described this action as a betrayal of American citizens reliant on these programs."On his first day in office, Donald Trump reversed Biden’s action to lower prescription drug costs for Americans on Medicaid and Medicare."
