Rep. Shontel Brown, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 11th district, shared her thoughts and concerns on various topics through recent social media posts. The posts cover personal reflections as well as pressing political issues.

On February 5, 2025, Rep. Brown commemorated National Girls and Women in Sports Day by reflecting on her own experiences with sports. She stated, "On this National Girls and Women in Sports Day, I’m thinking back on how sports helped me learn teamwork, gain confidence and become stronger, on and off the court." She also expressed gratitude to her former teammates at John Adams High School and Coach Mark Alexander for their support.

The following day, February 6, 2025, Rep. Brown commented on an Oversight Committee hearing where Democrats attempted to subpoena Elon Musk. In a post she wrote that "During today's Oversight Committee hearing Democrats attempted to subpoena Elon Musk. Within minutes Republicans voted to block the subpoena." She emphasized that "Musk now has unprecedented power," expressing concern over transparency for Northeast Ohioans.

Later that day, Rep. Brown raised further concerns about security breaches involving Elon Musk's team gaining access to sensitive systems. She tweeted: "Musk and his minions gained access to Treasury payment systems, sensitive taxpayer personal information, and installed an outside server at OPM." Rep. Brown criticized Republican colleagues for blocking oversight efforts regarding these issues.
