Rep. Shontel Brown discusses legislation and local sports developments

Rep. Shontel Brown, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 11th district since 2021, recently shared her thoughts and legislative efforts on social media. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and a graduate of Wilberforce University, Brown succeeded Marcia Fudge and previously served on the Cuyahoga County Council.

On February 16, 2025, Rep. Brown announced her upcoming appearance on MSNBC's PoliticsNation at 5:06 ET to discuss her legislative efforts aimed at restoring anti-discrimination protections that were rescinded during the Trump administration. She invited viewers to "Read more here".

In another post on February 17, 2025, Rep. Brown criticized former President Trump's policies stating that he is implementing "the most egregious ideas expeditiously." She highlighted what she believes are his failures in reducing costs for gas, goods, and groceries while affirming that House Democrats are actively opposing his agenda as indicated in her tweet here.

On the same day, Rep. Brown expressed enthusiasm about reports of the WNBA's potential return to Cleveland with the revival of the Cleveland Rockers team. In her tweet she stated, "I strongly support the WNBA returning to Cleveland," calling it a significant win for Northeast Ohio.
