On March 25, 2025, Brown highlighted the wage gap in her district with a tweet stating that "Women in OH 11 are paid 86¢ for every dollar paid to a man." She expressed her support for the Paycheck Fairness Act, emphasizing that "anything less than $1 is unacceptable!" "Women in OH 11 are paid 86¢ for every dollar paid to a man. Later that day, Brown criticized Donald Trump and Elon Musk for their impact on Social Security. She tweeted that they are "breaking Social Security, hurting seniors and making services worse," describing them as "out of touch" and focused on enriching their friends. In another tweet on March 25, Brown condemned Republican efforts to cut food assistance programs like SNAP. She stated that Republicans want to remove aid from millions of households, including those in her district. She joined her Congressional Black Caucus colleagues in opposing these cuts, which she described as an attack on working families.
