Representative Shontel Brown, serving Ohio’s 11th congressional district, addressed several pressing issues through recent social media posts. In a series of messages, Brown engaged with topics ranging from data security to economic concerns and Social Security status.

On April 6, 2025, Brown commented on the mishandling of taxpayer data. "DOGE improperly shared sensitive personal taxpayer data and those involved must be held accountable." Brown, alongside Representatives Lori Trahan and Suzan DelBene, is calling for a federal investigation into the matter.

Another tweet dated April 7, 2025, expressed economic concerns regarding import tariffs. "Working people can't afford Trump's tariffs," she stated, reflecting on the potential financial strain that such trade policies might impose on everyday Americans.

Additionally, on the same date, Brown raised the issue of prominent public figures impacting Social Security. "Trump and Elon are breaking Social Security," wrote Brown, indicating concern about the recent actions of former President Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk on the government program.
