U.S. Representative Shontel Brown, who represents Ohio’s 11th district in Congress, recently shared a series of posts highlighting new federal funding for Northeast Ohio and voicing concerns about national agricultural policy.

On July 22, 2025, Brown announced on her social media account: "More federal funding is heading to NE Ohio — thanks to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law! Proud to join @CLEMayorsOffice and @cityofcleveland to announce this major investment in the North Coast Connector." The announcement was made in partnership with the Cleveland Mayor's Office and city officials.

Later that day, she posted a celebratory message for Cleveland: "Happy Birthday to the Greatest City in the World!" (July 22, 2025).

Two days later, on July 24, Brown commented on former President Donald Trump’s approach toward Black farmers: "Trump is taking us backwards. Instead of righting wrongs and helping Black farmers, he's implementing a resegregation agenda."

Brown has represented Ohio’s 11th District since replacing Marcia Fudge in Congress in 2021. She previously served as a member of the Cuyahoga County Council from 2015 to 2021. Born in Cleveland in 1975 and currently residing in Warrensville Heights, Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilberforce University.
