U.S. Representative Shontel Brown, who serves Ohio’s 11th district, has posted a series of statements on social media addressing the impact of former President Donald Trump’s policies on health care costs and agriculture.

On September 24, 2025, Brown wrote: "Fact Check: True

Trump and MAGA Republicans are raising health care prices."

The following day, she continued her criticism by highlighting the effects on seniors in her district: "Costs keep rising under President Trump and seniors in Cuyahoga County are paying the price." This statement draws attention to concerns about increasing living expenses for elderly residents in Cuyahoga County.

Later that same day, Brown addressed agricultural policy, stating: "President Trump finally admitting what I've been saying since May: his tariff agenda is killing farm country."

Shontel Brown has represented Ohio’s 11th congressional district since 2021 after succeeding Marcia Fudge. Before joining Congress, she served on the Cuyahoga County Council from 2015 to 2021. Born in Cleveland in 1975, Brown currently resides in Warrensville Heights and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilberforce University.
