The letter calls for President Biden to nominate someone who can effectively strengthen and enhance the U.S.-Israel relationship during a critical juncture in diplomatic ties. Congressman Max Miller Co-leads Bipartisan Push to Modernize Federal Passport Services
In response to unprecedented passport processing delays at the Department of State, Congressman Max Miller (OH-07) recently joined a group of his colleagues to introduce the bipartisan Passport Modernization Act. Since January, Congressman Miller’s office has received a significant number of requests for assistance with obtaining passports in a timely manner and has resolved over 200 passport-related cases for residents of Ohio’s 7th Congressional District. To address lengthy delays, this bill will make the passport application process easier and more efficient.

The relationship between the United States and Israel is one forged in friendship, security, and mutual respect. During a bipartisan Congressional delegation to Israel led by Speaker Kevin McCarthy (CA-20) earlier this year, he committed to forming a Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Israeli Knesset. Now, following last week’s Joint Meeting of Congress with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Speaker McCarthy and Leader Jeffries are appointing 12 Members of Congress to serve as part of this historic alliance, including Congressman Max Miller. The group will be led by Congressman David Kustoff (TN-08).

Congressman Max Miller (OH-7) released his priorities for the 2023 Farm Bill to support Ohio agriculture. Miller’s priorities focus on strengthening programs important to the agriculture industry and consumers in Northeast Ohio including the farm safety net, rural development, conservation stewardship, export promotion, renewable energy, and nutrition and training efforts. The Farm Bill is passed by Congress every five years and authorizes programs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

On July 18, Congressman Max Miller (OH-07), along with Congressmen August Pfluger (TX-11) and David Kustoff (TN-08) introduced a resolution supporting the State of Israel. The resolution clearly affirms that: Israel is not a racist or an apartheid state; The House rejects all forms of antisemitism and xenophobia; and the United States will always be a staunch partner and supporter of the State of Israel. The resolution is supported by House leadership and scheduled for a vote in the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday, July 17th.
