Rep. Shontel Brown, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Ohio's 11th district, recently shared updates on events she participated in and supported through her social media posts.On November 26, 2024, Rep. Brown highlighted an event in Cleveland featuring Ruby Bridges, known for integrating the Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans in 1960. She stated:

"An icon was in Cleveland on Monday: Ruby Bridges, who integrated the Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans in 1960. I was honored to moderate an event for CMSD students with Ruby, organized by @LegalAidCLE and @Cleveland_PL."Later that day, Rep. Brown reflected on the impact of Ruby Bridges' visit, noting her enduring influence and resilience:

"Her courage, dignity, and grace continue to be an inspiration. It was powerful to hear Ruby tell local kids her story, talk about what she faced, and the lessons she has learned. May she be a source of strength for all of us moving forward."Additionally, Rep. Brown's office attended college fairs at Warrensville Heights High School and the Arnold Pinkney East Professional Center in Cleveland on November 26th as well. She shared:

"My office attended the 22nd Annual Destination HBCU College Fairs at Warrensville Heights High School and the Arnold Pinkney East Professional Center in Cleveland. We were excited to share information on our youth programs and answer questions about federal financial aid."
