Rep. Shontel Brown, a U.S. Congress member representing Ohio's 11th district, recently shared updates on her political endeavors and opinions via social media. Brown, who has been serving in Congress since replacing Marcia Fudge in 2021, addressed various issues ranging from committee appointments to executive orders by President Trump.

On January 24, 2025, Rep. Shontel Brown announced her new role as Vice Ranking Member on the House Agriculture Committee. She expressed enthusiasm for working with Ranking Member Craig and colleagues to develop agriculture policies beneficial to diverse farmers and families. "I am honored to share that I’ve been selected to serve as Vice Ranking Member on the House Agriculture Committee."

The following day, January 25, 2025, she questioned the developments surrounding Trump's executive orders through a tweet suggesting an analysis of the situation: "What’s going on with Trump’s executive orders? Let’s break it down."

On January 26, 2025, Rep. Brown criticized actions taken by President Trump during his first week in office that involved ending federal anti-discrimination policies established since 1965.
