On January 30, 2025, Rep. Shontel Brown tweeted about her visit to Seeds of Literacy’s location on Kinsman. She expressed appreciation for the educational services provided by the organization and highlighted their efforts in helping students complete their GEDs and more. "This week I visited Seeds of Literacy’s location on Kinsman to learn more about the work they are doing to elevate literacy across Ohio."

In another tweet posted on January 30, 2025, Rep. Brown offered her thoughts and prayers for those affected by a crash at DCA (Reagan National Airport) and thanked first responders for their efforts at the scene: "My prayers are with everyone involved with the crash at DCA."
