Small Business Expo approaches as Rep. Shontel Brown addresses farmers' challenges

Rep. Shontel Brown, currently serving Ohio's 11th district in the U.S. Congress, took to social media to discuss pressing issues affecting her constituents and the broader public. Serving since 2021, Brown shared insights on a wide range of topics, from challenges facing American farmers to local business opportunities.

On May 1st, 2025, Rep. Shontel Brown posted "America’s farmers navigate droughts, floods, and frosts. But this year the storm isn’t coming from the skies, it’s coming from Trump’s White House. Farmers – and all of us who rely on them – are paying the price." in a statement addressing the difficulties faced by farmers due to current policy directions.

Shontel Brown, a Cleveland native born in 1975, pursued higher education at Wilberforce University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. She resides in Warrensville Heights and previously served on the Cuyahoga County Council from 2015 to 2021 before her congressional tenure, succeeding Marcia Fudge.
