Representative Shontel Brown, who has served Ohio’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after previously serving on the Cuyahoga County Council, recently addressed several issues impacting her constituents through a series of posts on social media. Brown, a Cleveland native and Wilberforce University graduate, used her platform to discuss federal nutrition assistance, federal budget priorities, and local infrastructure improvements.

On July 10, 2025, Brown addressed supporters of former President Donald Trump regarding the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), stating "My message to MAGA: SNAP is a lifeline not a line item."

The following day, July 11, 2025, Brown criticized recent federal budget decisions and their impact on vulnerable populations in Northeast Ohio. She wrote "Trump's funding freeze is harming people in need in Northeast Ohio. Republicans shouldn't say one word about 'fiscal responsibility' when they just voted for Trump's budget that increases our debt by $3 trillion dollars."

Later on July 11, 2025, Brown highlighted her participation in a groundbreaking ceremony with the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) for the E. 79th Street Station Reconstruction project. She noted "I was honored to join @GCRTA to break ground on the E. 79th Street Station Reconstruction - made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastrutcure Law. This project will make the station safer, more accessible, and warmer in the winter. Another important investment in Cleveland."

Brown continues to reside in Warrensville Heights and remains active in advocating for policies affecting her district.
