On July 19, 2025, Brown offered pointed commentary on legislative practices, stating, "Pro tip: If there are headlines about your big ugly bill with the word 'catastrophe' in them, you did a bad job."
Later that day, she announced new legislation aimed at women's health issues. On July 19, 2025, Brown wrote, "This week I filed the U-Fight Act, legislation to jumpstart research and improved treatment for fibroids. This is personal to me - and to millions of women."

Brown has represented Ohio’s 11th district since replacing Marcia Fudge in Congress in 2021. Before joining Congress, she served on the Cuyahoga County Council from 2015 to 2021. Born in Cleveland in 1975 and currently residing in Warrensville Heights at age 47, Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wilberforce University.
