Rep. Shontel Brown, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Ohio’s 11th district, has recently shared updates and initiatives via her social media platform. Serving since 2021 after succeeding Marcia Fudge, Brown continues to focus on issues affecting her constituents.
On December 9, 2024, Rep. Brown reiterated the Democratic Party's commitment to "working people." She stated that Democrats are focused on "lowering the cost of living, fighting for workers’ rights and fair wages, helping seniors pay their bills, and making life more affordable for everyone."
The following day, December 10, 2024, she announced the opening of a new office in Washington D.C., inviting constituents to visit: "Find us in Rayburn 2455—stop by and say hello!"
Later that same day, Rep. Brown offered assistance with tax preparation through an upcoming event. She invited individuals needing help with taxes to join a webinar scheduled for January 15, 2025: "Need help filing your taxes and preparing your forms? On January 15, 2025 at 1 PM my office is hosting a Federal Tax Preparation Webinar." The session will feature an expert from the IRS.
